April 6-7, 2001

The Woodbound Inn hosted the New England BBQ Society "Spring Fling" BBQ competition with 6 Teams competed in various BBQ categories, including: seafood, Burger, Chicken, Sausage and Iron Chef. Folks had a great time, the smells, the food was great.

There were 6 judges scoring each of these team's entries with trophies awarded to the top three of each category and, for the top two overall winners. Next year is already in the planning stages for April 19-20. The public is invited as spectators. You'll find more information on the New England BBQ Society on their web site: http://www.nebs.org

You just never know what you'll find here at the Woodbound Inn. Golfers and vacationers were amazed when a small female moose not only took a stroll along our shoreline, but also decided to check out her handicap!
